Overview of the SARIP programme
Student Advance Research Internship Program (SARIP) runs under the aegis of Office of Outreach Activities (OOA), IIT Kanpur. IIT Kanpur has a highly vibrant research environment in all branches of science and engineering.
The objective of SARIP Program is to promote the culture of research and interdisciplinary education among the post graduate students. It is open to students of IIT Kanpur as well as students from other recognized academic institutions across the country. This program provides a platform to students for exploring their innovative ideas and to richly benefit from their interaction with the researchers and experts at IIT Kanpur. The state of art research environment at IIT Kanpur may influence and motivate the SARIP participants for pursuing advanced research as their career option.
The SARIP Programme is conducted annually for a duration approved by the competent authority, generally between mid-May and mid-July, keeping in view the accommodation requirements of non-IITK participants.
All notifications, application calls, selection processes, and registrations are carried out through the OOA–SARIP portal. The Office of Outreach Activities (OOA) is responsible for maintaining official records of all SARIP participants and coordinating administrative activities related to the programme.
The final list of selected SARIP interns is shared with the IITK Computer Centre and the Office Automation team for the creation of official IITK email IDs, and issuance of Institute Identity Cards, respectively. The list is also shared with the DOAA office for their record.
